Zevia Factors Into A Sugar Budget Philosophy
The American Heart Association recommends the average adult male eat only 37.5 grams of sugar per day. One can of Coca Cola contains 39 grams of sugar. Of the sodas we sampled, Orange, Grape, Cream Soda, Cherry Cola, and Ginger Ale tasted the best. A few of the others, like Mountain Zevia, had an interesting aftertaste, but it’s hard to replicate a bunch of sugary, chemical liquids naturally, right? The dry lemon-lime drink mixers were, as advertised, dry, but lightly-sweetened and helped along the likes of vodka and rum nicely. The ginger beer mixer helped craft a perfect Moscow Mule and you won’t notice the lack of sugars in your copper mug. The lime-flavored sparkling water nicely balances the citrus with just a hint of sweetness.
